ALL FROM NOTHING

It is the consensus of current science that the universe was started with a tremendous explosion, commonly referred to as The Big Bang, around fifteen billion years ago. Though the cause of that Primal explosion may forever remain a mystery, we do know that tremendous energy was released.

In a fraction of a second, that energy was transformed in the cauldron of heat and pressure, producing the first particles of matter, the hadrons and leptons, which united in the simplest and most prevalent combination in the universe, the basic element of hydrogen.

Thus, the radiant energy of that blinding flash gave birth to the first atoms of matter. From that radiant light came the seeds of everything that now exists. E = mc2 in reverse. In a sense, everything came from nothing -- nothing but light.
